THERE have been instances when people have been lambasted for walking past and not going to the aid of a victim when an incident is happening.

Critics have said ‘why didn’t they help that person?’ or ‘how could they look the other way in that person’s moment of need?’ Perhaps Steve Paddon’s case may shed some light on this issue. Electrician Steve saw a pensioner struggling as his mobility scooter was stuck in a ditch.

He did what hopefully most of us would have done and helped the 75-year-old.

Unfortunately Steve had left his van on double yellow lines.

And he was duly snapped by a passing camera car and fined £75.

Borough of Poole says that any vehicle parked in this manner will automatically receive a penalty charge.

Steve was helping someone, so you would have thought the matter would have been ditched long before this.
