"We loved Lapland New Forest!"

WE’VE found them – this is the family that had a good time at Lapland New Forest!

The Kinross family from Shoreham is full of praise for the much-maligned Christmas attraction and is urging others to go and see for themselves.

Charles and Mel took their children, Sophie, eight, and six-year-old Cameron to the Matchams site on Monday and said any teething troubles reported from the weekend appear to have been overcome.

“We had a fantastic time,” said Charles.

“The kids loved the huskies, meeting Santa with no queue, making gingerbread men, ice skating and all the free rides.

“I can fully understand that there were problems at the weekend but we really enjoyed it and hope it doesn’t close down.

“We took our children out of school for the day and that was what probably made the difference.

“We also went with my parents and my dad had a brilliant time even though he is the biggest cynic in the world.”

Mr Kinross said a lot of people were complaining about the cold but added: “It was their own fault. The weather was absolutely freezing and there were people walking around in T-shirts.”

Thats quite strange, the only good comments coming from someone who lives a few short miles away from where the company are based in Brighton. Possible link perhaps.

Precisely... so what will their local education authority do about it? Absolutely squat, I'll bet.

Also, interesting that this family appears to come from the same neck of the woods as the company behind it. Hmmmmmmmmmm. Far be it for me to conject any further. :-)

Mmm, yes, lets all jump on the assumption tree.....

...just be aware that Mr Kinross may very well take people to task for defamation of character...

...so unless you have hard proof button it....

I think one person in amongst thousands says it all.

And they went AFTER many changes had apparently been made. What about those of us who went and had to bear the joke that this place was (and probably still is to the majority of people) and paid the same? We had no husky ride, no ice-rink, no free rides, no free picture with Santa - the list goes on!

Actually it is not their choice- yes that's choice not choise.

However, looking at your use of the english language it comes as no surprise that you don't understand the value of education.

And after that 1/2 hour was over, what did you do? As for being cold, I was freezing after that long in the queue, and I was wearing a t-shirt, wool jumper, (proper) fleece, wool scarf, and wool beanie.

Plus we didn't get to go in the fun-fair for free or the closed ice-rink (which was meant to be outdoor, and in the centre of the village, but wasn't).

No wonder you had a better time, but still nothing like what was advertised.

For all we know they may have had permission to take thechildren out of school it can be done you know, and I agree we don't this family and should be careful what we say. Some people are easily pleased and they may have had a good time, I actually know of someone who is going soon despite being warned it may be rubbish, I will report back

Why are so people so sad,if the kids parents want to take the kids off school its their decision, I take my family away 2 weeks a year during school term, with regard to the use of the english language I would rather my children say **** than toilet, work that one out pleb.

Labourse, if your children are privately educated I would thoroughly agree that it is your choice whether they attend or not, however, if they are being educated by the state then it is not your decision to make.

I'm very sad that Chavland won't be open next year due to all the crazed naysaying.
I was thinking of taking the kids out of school for a week next time ! It's not affecting their education anyway, we keep them in our basement the rest of the time.
It was their one outing, and they loved it.
Now these so called "consumers" have taken away the one thing they had to live for with their "complaints" .
I hope they're pleased with themselves. They disgust me.
Happy Christmas !
