Extra GP clinics will run over the bank holiday weekend as people are urged to avoid making unnecessary trips to under pressure accident and emergency units.
Patients with non-life threatening injuries are often better contacting a pharmacy, 111, their GP or a minor injuries unit.
The Canford Heath Group Practice, Mitchell Road, will open on Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10am until 6pm, Parkstone Health Centre, Mansfield Road, will open on Saturday from 10am until 6pm and Wessex Road Surgery, in Poole, on Sunday and Monday from 10am until 6pm.
People should stock up their medicine cabinet with self-help medicines and ensure they order repeat prescriptions in plenty of time before they go away, said Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG.)
