Members wanted for new constituency

THE Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for additional members following the creation of a new public constituency.

Members play an important role in helping to shape the future of hospital services.

Anyone can apply to become a member of the Trust and experience many benefits, while making an important contribution to improving patient care.

Members have the opportunity to comment on services, they are kept up to date with news about the hospitals through a quarterly newsletter and are invited to events such as public consultations and ‘Understanding Health’ talks.

The Trust is seeking members of the new constituency to gain views and opinions from a wider membership area.

This new constituency covers a wide area including Dorset, Hampshire, Portsmouth, Salisbury, South Wiltshire and the Isle of Wight.

To become a member you need to be over 16 years old and live in the areas mentioned above.

Once a member, people also have the chance to stand for election to become a Governor of their local constituency. Governors are very important as they represent the views of members in their area, feeding back this vital information to the Trust.

For more information and to apply for a members application form please either email ftmembers@rbch.nhs.uk or call 01202 704224 and provide your name, address and telephone number.
