A photographer from the Echo snapped this picture of the Shipwright's Arms, West Quay Road, Poole, in 1974 when boreholes were sunk around the old pub to test the foundations because cracks appeared in the walls. Three years later the popular pub had to be demolished and the roof tiles were given to Scaplen's Court.
