Many readers contacted the Echo after seeing Paul Shee's postcard of Boscombe Overcliff printed on April 29.
Ros Crocker, Jonathan Jones and Pat Marshall said the picture is of Fisherman's Walk, Southbourne, not Boscombe Overcliff and is more or less the same today. The white building on the left is the Commodore Hotel and the concrete structure on the right is an ice cream parlour near to the cliff lift that goes down to the beach. The 'put' and 'pitch' putting green in the centre changed to crazy golf and a children's play area.
Another reader said the picture dates circa 1920s as the road is not made up.
