Brian Day sent in this picture
BRIAN Day sent in an old photograph of Swanage showing a handful of buildings, a working quarry and a wonderful open view of the harbour.
Brian moved into the area a few years ago.
He lives in one of the three cottages on Mount Pleasant Lane, seen on the left of the picture, near a big tree and the Red Lion pub.
He would like to know the history of cottages which are reputed to be cottages for fishermen, but he thinks are more likely to be merchants’ houses as they are much larger than the average cottage, having three storeys.
