Does anyone remember the Orange Oblivion in the 1970s?
It was a busy mobile discotheque built and run by three boys from Burley.
The picture sent in by Richard Grant, one of the budding DJs, shows them on holiday at John O’Groats, after which they went on to the Lake District.
They slept in tents or the back of the car, borrowed from a friend’s father.
They are in the back row, left, Philip Hutchings, who now lives in Connecticut and still works in electronics, and Richard Grant whose career has been mainly as an estate agent.
In front, on the left is Paul Holdsworth, who now owns the local garage with his brother John.
He was not an actual Orange Oblivion member, but helped out on occasions.
On the right is Alan Rallings, last known to be in Portugal.
