ARE you one of the children pictured or do you know who they might be?

Mrs Irene Hobby acquired two photo albums from her daughter, who found them in a property in Poole a few years ago. She would like to reunite the albums to the families concerned. “The albums are full of pictures of young children and babies and must be of value to someone”, said Irene from Oakdale.

There is very little to identify who the children might be.

One album seems to be predominately of a baby girl growing up and her older sister with a woman who could be their mother. There are pictures of two different houses where the children might have lived.

The other album features another baby girl growing up with an older brother and with another woman who could also be their mother, pictured corner right.

This one has the name Sheila Tudor in the front cover. Could Sheila Tudor be the little girl in the pictures?

Katie Heaton, local history librarian at Poole Museum Service, found one Tudor listed living in Poole that could possibly link up with a Sheila Tudor.

Noah Tudor lived in Poole High Street in 1942 and by 1947 had moved to Moor View Road in Oakdale. Married to Florence in Wrexham in 1924, the couple don’t appear to have had children. Noah died in Poole in 1960, aged 62.

The only possible Sheila Tudor was born in Wrexham in 1933 to Gwilym H Tudor and his wife Hannah (nee Jones), who were married in the town five years earlier.

In the 1911 census Noah Tudor was living with his father, a coal miner, mother and seven of his siblings including his younger brother Gwilym. So could Sheila be Noah and Florence’s niece?
