Keith Lemon has landed a role in 'Coronation Street'.

The 'Celebrity Juice' host - who is played by comic Leigh Francis - will make a cameo appearance in the soap as a delivery driver working for brewery Newton & Ridley, who supply ales to the Rovers Return.

It seems Keith shared his scenes with Michelle Keegan, Jack P. Shepherd and Simon Gregson, who play Tina McIntyre, David Platt and Steve McDonald.

Keith tweeted: "Had an ace day filming with Keegan, P Shepard and old McDonald on corrie. Proper dream come true. Looking forward t' seeing it on't telly (sic)"

While it is not known when his appearance will air, Keith is a long-time fan of the soap and has been desperate to land a role on the show for some time.

He has previously admitted to pestering Samia Ghadie - who plays Maria Connor - to help him get a part on the programme.

Keith said: "Last year the flame-haired comedian, real name Leigh Francis, revealed how he was relying on Samia Ghadie - who plays hairdresser Maria Connor - to make the role happen."

He said: "I suppose my favourite soap would be 'Coronation Street' because I know more people in 'Corrie' than I do in other soaps.

"I'm like, 'Hey, how's it going Michelle Keegan', 'Are you all right, Samia Ghadie?'

"I'm always telling Samia because she seems to be my gateway in to the Street, and she always introduces me to the producers and writers at showbiz events."
