DORSET animal rescue charity Margaret Green is trying to find permanent homes for seven cats, dogs and Guinea pigs in its care this week.

Chorlton is a “very affectionate” seven-year-old cat who is looking for a forever home after becoming upset when a baby came into his previous home. He is looking for an adult only home where he is the only pet.

Twinkle is a 10-year-old cat who has recently been living at a stable yard. She is friendly and would like to be the only cat but might be able to live with a friendly dog.

Blu is described as a “bouncy” seven-month-old Lurcher. He is a happy chap who loves people but can be a little shy. He could live with other dogs, cats and children or any age.

Another Lurcher looking for a home is six-year-old, Honey. She has a “real zest for life”, enjoys cuddles and gets on well with other dogs, but would need to be the only dog in her new home. She could live with teenage children but would prefer not to live with a cat.

Milo is a 10-year-old Lhasa Apso. An active boy who is “very sociable”, he would prefer to live in an adult home as they only pet. His favourite things include going to the beach and playing.

Finally, there’s two-year-old Guinea pig, Rex, who is looking for a home with his son and ‘mini-me’, Romeo.
