A DORSET rescue centre is trying to find forever homes for a number of cats and dogs.

Margaret Green Animal Rescue cares for all kinds of cats, dogs and small furry animals.

Erin, who is just 21 weeks old, is described by the staff as a “very sweet little lady”. The black kitten would prefer to be the only cat in her new home but might get on with a friendly dog.

Bellie, eight, is looking for a forever home with her sister Jazzy. In the cattery, they take it in turns to be the most outgoing. They should be fine to live with a dog and friendly children but would need to be the only cats.

Keira, four, is a “sweet girl” who “loves to have fuss but on her terms”. She likes being stroked around her head but not by her tail. Staff say she enjoys bringing her humans ‘presents’ but is looking for an adult home as the only pet.

Charlie and Poppy are looking for a retirement home together. Charlie is an 11-year-old male West Highland terrier and Poppy is a 14-year-old female Jack Russell terrier. They are both still active despite their ages.

Heather is a “very sweet” six-year-old Staffy. She loves to play with toys, especially squeaky ones, and enjoys being around people and cuddles. She could possibly live with cats and could live with teenage children but would rather be the only dog.

Finally, there is Beau - a “gorgeous” four-year-old Pomeranian. She can be a little shy but once she gets to know you she loves cuddles. She would be happiest as the only dog in an adult home, and she could possibly live with a cat.
