A GROUP of rescue cats and dogs will have their Christmas wishes answered if they get re-homed in the New Year.

Among the animals currently in the care of Margaret Green Animal Rescue are five cats and two dogs.

Buzz and Woody are two felines looking for their forever home.

The brothers are one-year-old and are described as “super affectionate and playful boys who really love people” by the staff.

They could possibly live with a dog and could easily live with children.

Five-year-old cat Tom is also looking for a new family.

Jazmin House, community fundraising assistant, said: “He may look like a bit of a bruiser, but he is actually a very friendly and soppy lad. He loves to have fuss and the staff have been grooming him, and he really loves it.”

Two older residents at the Margaret Green Animal Rescue centre are Egg and Danny. Egg, who is 11-years-old, loves her high shelf in the cattery and is a very ‘chatty’ cat.

Jazmin added: “She is a sweet girl and very affectionate.”

Danny, 12, is in need of a forever home for his retirement years.

“He is a bit of a worrier so he would need to be the only pet and would need to be in an adult-only home,” Jazmin said.

A pair of pooches, Chenoa and Myrrh, are also in need of re-homing.

Chenoa is a three-year-old Husky who is looking for a family who enjoy the outdoors and who are as active as her as she loves exploring new places.

And Myrrh is a “super-duper” three-year-old Lurcher who “can’t wait to meet the loving new family the staff here keep telling him all about,” according to Jazmin.

He is said to be very friendly and sociable with dogs and people.
