Ride and win at the Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride 2010

BIG-hearted cyclists preparing for the Daily Echo-backed Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride 2010 have been offered an added incentive.

For what could be better than setting off on any of the six new routes - which range from 10 to 100 miles - astride a brand new bicycle?

Local bike store, Primera, is offering all cyclists taking part in the ride on Sunday July 4 the chance to win a gleaming new machine.

Owner, Bill Temple, is donating a Trek Bike to one lucky cyclist. Bill said his annual support for the ride stemmed from personal experience.

"I lost my mother to cancer when I was a teenager, and I know how it can affect families, so we do all we can to support Macmillan and the Dorset Bike Ride," he said.

Daily Echo editor-in-chief Neal Butterworth will get back on his bike to take on the 48 mile route, while England cricket legend, David Gower, will again take part.

Luxury boat builder, Sunseeker, is backing the event for the fifth time.
