SCHOOL children are being invited to design a futuristic eco-friendly house for a chance to win an iPad.

Renewable energy company Green Square is organising the competition ahead of the official opening of its Christchurch showroom on Barrack Road.

The houses can be designed however the children see fit – whether on a computer, painted, drawn or made as a model – but most be annotated explaining why they are environmentally friendly.

Children aged 10-16 should post their house designs to: Green Square Design a House of the Future Competition, C/o Liz Crosley, PMW Communications Ltd, Stane Court, Stane Street, Billingshurst, West Sussex, RH14 9HP by Wednesday November 2. 2016.

Each entry must have the following information written on the back: child name, child age, contact details and school name and county (terms and conditions apply).

Three finalists will be selected and invited to attend Green Square Christchurch’s launch event on Wednesday November 9 from 4.30-6.30pm to present their eco-friendly house.

The winner will be chosen on the night by a panel of VIP judges and all finalists will receive prizes.
