THE AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust and Goadsby’s successful Respect campaign is under way once again.

Now into its third season, the initiative will see the Trust visit pupils across Bournemouth and Poole to emphasise the import-ance of understanding other peoples’ perspectives and devel-oping respect.

The project has been a huge hit with local schools over the past few academic years thanks to the support of the Cherries’ Official Property Partners Goadsby.

The estate agent donated charitable funds to support the programme last year and has continued its backing for the scheme that enables pupils to develop valuable skills under the guidance of the Trust’s coaches through a variety of activities and games.

It ends with a poster competition, which encourages young people to express what they have learnt with paper, pen, pencils or paint brushes, with the winning design displayed in the Family Stand at the Goldsands Stadium.

“AFC Bournemouth works in partnership with our school in promoting the rights of all children,” said Mudeford Junior School head Mark Partridge.

“Our shared vision is to ensure that the children are educated about their responsibilities as valued members of our society.”

And Goadsby’s residential managing director Greg Carter added: “As soon as we heard of this excellent initiative, we were very keen for Goadsby to be involved.

“As a father myself I am only too aware how important it is that our young people learn the importance of respect.”
