HAVE your Hob Nobs to hand, ready your Rich Tea and draw you Digestives the World Biscuit Dunking Championships are on!
Launched by celebrity chef Simon Rimmer with a record dunking time of 57 seconds, to take part all you have to do is dunk the biccie of your choice in a hot cuppa and upload the footage to eatthechef.com
The rules are:
• Tea or coffee must be hot.
• The video must be shot in one take with no editing.
• Eat the chef’s judges have the final say, so if you say 40 seconds and they say 39 it’s 39.
• The biscuit must be submerged at least halfway in your tea/coffee and regularly, visually demonstrate that it hasn’t broken .
• No cheating.
• In the event of a tie there will be a dunk off.
Entries must be uploaded by midday on March 15 and there’s the magnificent Eat The Chef World Biscuit Dunking Championship Cup at stake, to say nothing of a truly indulgent food hamper prepared by Simon Rimmer of his favourite foods from his local producers and a meal for two on him, at either of his restaurants for the presentation of the trophy.
