DORSET based animal rescue charity Margaret Green is hoping to find permanent homes for seven dogs and cats in its care this week.

Flossie is an affectionate two-year-old cat that should be able to live with children who aren’t too noisy but would prefer to be the only cat. She might be able to live with a friendly dog but it would depend on an introduction.

Tammy is an 11-year-old cat that is a “little on the nervous side” but as soon as you get to know her, she will be purring like crazy. She is looking to be the only cat in a quiet home.

Mitsy is a 14-year-old cat looking for a forever home with her friend Maggie. They are both very friendly cats although Mitsy is a little shy. They could live with a friendly dog and older children but would prefer to be the only cats.

Six-year-old Lurcher Wesley is described as “very handsome” and is looking for an active family. He would be best suited to an adult only family. Although he enjoys spending time with other dogs, the staff feel he would be happiest as the only pet.

Moose is a five-year-old Greyhound who loves to run but is quite laid back and relaxed, too. He is looking for an adult only family in a home without small furries but could live with other dogs.

Last, but by no means least, there’s Roo. An 11-month-old Whippet cross, he is friendly and playful with a mischievous nature. Roo is very sociable with people and loves meeting new dogs. He can live with older children, dogs and a cat.
