Ronan Keating prepares to give audiences the time of their lives with his latest tour...

“This is the music I’ve always wanted to make."

Pop legend Ronan Keating is clearly excited at the prospect of bringing the music from his tenth studio album to the live stage.

The former Boyzone frontman is taking to the road to tour the aptly entitled Time Of My Life, which was released in February this year, and is heading to the BIC's Windsor Stage on Saturday, October 1.

Right now, Keating is all about this album… the album of his life. A record on which he’s dug deep, pushed hard and been unafraid of wearing his heart (and his tunes) on his sleeve.

The album is the first fruits of not only a rejuvenating relationship with his new record label Decca, but also a genuinely content place in life and love.

These are instantly affecting songs of celebration and emotion, of love and loss and more importantly… honesty.

"This is who I am and it feels absolutely right," he says.

"To go out with all this new material, and playing guitar, will be so exciting. These songs were written for live performance.”

Some 22 years of making music have resulted in an impressive tally of achievements for Keating, including 40 million album sales with Boyzone, 22 million copies sold of nine solo albums, 14 solo Number One singles and an Ivor Novello Award for Picture of You (1997).

However they are not something Keating, 39, is dwelling on right now. He is all about pushing on with a bold new chapter.

It's a sentiment also echoed in his private life - Keating's wife Storm revealed last month they had plans to start a family together as they settled into their new Hertfordshire home.

The couple married at luxury Archerfield House in East Lothian, Scotland, in August 2015 with the blessing of the singer's three children Jack, 17, Missy, 15 and Ali, 10, from his previous marriage to Yvonne Connolly.

And Australian TV producer and blogger Storm, 34, told Hello! magazine they were now hoping to expand their brood, adding; "Please God that it works out for us. Ronan is a great dad. He is amazing.”

However, future plans could see Keating returning to the success of his past - he has hinted at plans for a Boyzone reunion tour as the former boyband prepares to mark its 25th anniversary in 2018, and also told the press it would be "fun" for Boyzone to team up with Westlife to form a supergroup, adding he would "never say never" to the idea.

“I miss the lads at times, definitely,” he said, adding: “Next year marks our 25 years so we’ll do something next year, please God.”

Ronan Keating is at the BIC's Windsor Hall on Saturday, October 1. Tickets are priced £39, available from bic.co.uk or by calling 0844 576 3000.
