Christmas may be more than six months away but Argos has already released its predictions for this year’s must-have toys.

A remote control BB8, Snuggles My Dream Puppy and LEGO City Volcano are among the items set to be featured on children’s wish lists this Christmas.

Fisher Price’s upcoming Think and Learn Codeapillar, that aims to teach kids the basics of coding, is also set to be a hit.

The toy comes with eight segments which feature a unique command icon on its surface. Each command instructs the CodeaPillar to move in a certain way.

The segments hook together via a USB port and the kids can select the order Another toy set to be the next big thing is the SelfieMic.

A twist on the selfie stick, the SelfieMic works alongside an app allowing users to create videos and singalong to their favourite songs.

Also featured in the list is VTech’s Toot Toot Drivers Goldmine, Nerf’s Tri-Strike blaster and a voice command robotic monkey that can perform over 100 tricks.

A spokesperson said: "With cross-generation appeal toys from LEGO, NERF and Star Wars, households are expected to be lively and fun across the UK this Christmas."
