MORE than 1,000 visitors attended the inaugural Daily Echo Home and Garden Show, which took place at Bournemouth Pavilion on Saturday.

The free event, which took place between 10.30am to 5pm, featured exhibitors displaying everything from Italian furniture to gravel and paving supplies.

The first 500 people through the doors received a goody bag worth £20.

Smaller goody bags were available for later visitors while stocks lasted.

Angela Boyer, the Daily Echo’s sales and events manager, said the event gave visitors the opportunity to see a huge range of businesses under one roof.

She said: "It's been a really good day.

"There have been more than 1,000 visitors, and people are still coming in.

"We've also had good feedback from exhibitors - some have made appointments to measure up for new kitchens and things like that through the show."

Exhibitors included those providing beautiful Italian furniture, gravel and paving supplies, weather-boards, pools/hot tubs/spas, replacement windows, landscaping, artificial lawns, insulation resin driveways, fitted furniture, solar lighting and fitted kitchens.
