THE countdown is now underway for Bournemouth’s biggest nightlife event which kicks off this weekend.

The Block Party is Bournemouth’s 3,000 capacity metropolitan electronic music festival - a bi- annual event which features across six venues in Lansdowne.

Director Connor Scanlan said: “We’ve been operating for almost six years, attracting a host of the world’s most desired electronic music artists and putting them alongside local talent.”

“Other than Bournemouth 7s and SUBU’s Summer Ball, this is the area’s largest event and one which involves most of the local nightlife community.”

This year’s event features over 50 DJs and artists taking place across six venues in the Lansdowne area.

Connor added: “Expect ten hours of the best cutting edge DJs, live acts and hosts.

“Featuring daytime parties, pop-up venues, silent disco, secret guests and interactive areas.

“These streets are ours!”

As well as supporting a host of local up-and-coming talent, this year’s Block Party plays host to some of the bona fide kingpins of the electronic music scene.

Tickets are available from theblockparty.co.uk.

Whatever you’re into, Block Party is set to provide for everyone’s music taste. Names this year include Amine Edge and Dance, Tough Love, TC, AJ Tracey, Detlef, DJ Q Barely Leagl and Keeno, Darkzy.
