DONNING bunny rabbit ears and the biggest smiles children were treated to an Easter fun day for all the family.

The Triangle was a hive of activity with little ones running around in princess costumes with faces painted as fairies as they celebrated this year’s Easter Family Fun Day.

A beautiful harmony from the Funky Little Youth Singers welcomed families to the area from 11am.

Tots soon took up their positions in front of Dr Balloonman for some quirky entertainment before a performance by the First Position School of Dance.

Then there were quips aplenty from the much-anticipated Mr Merlin and Okey Dokey the Dragon who had children rolling on the floor with laughter.

There was also entertainment from the Absolute Music Workshop and Funsters Entertainment as well as a barbecue, courtesy of staff at Flirt cafe bar.

But the fun wasn’t just to be had outdoors. Bournemouth Library held arts and crafts workshops and a showcase by Buddy Books.

KinderActive hosted free sporting games and music and AS Photography offered visitors a free family photo.

There was free face-painting at the new Koh Lounge and children could complete a shop window trail for special prizes with free goods from Organix Food.

The event was organised by the Bournemouth Town Centre Business Improvement District.

A representative of the group, Suzy Wheeler, said on the day: “The sun has been shining and everyone is happy.

“We have done lots of marketing of Facebook so it has been really busy. Lots of businesses nearby have got involved which has been great.

“The Triangle is such a fun place to be - there are so many shops and restaurants for people to enjoy - and today is free so everyone can enjoy it.

“Everyone is having so much fun - just look at all the little kids.”
