World-class ballerina and Strictly judge Darcey Bussell will be in Bournemouth on Sunday to promote her new dance classes. The former Royal Ballet Principal dancer is one of those behind DDMIX, Diverse Dance Mix. The second Film and Comic Con Bournemouth takes place at the BIC this weekend. The two-day event will give fans the chance to meet stars from The Walking Dead, Doctor Who, Star Wars, Game of Thrones and The Musketeers. Last year, thousands of people turned out to meet their TV, film and sporting heroes. More details on who's going to be there here

Lovers of all things vintage should head to the Pavilion Theatre this Sunday when Lou Lou's Vintage Fair returns. There will be vintage fashion, homeware, homemade products, a tea room and beauty salon. Plus there will be entertainment from The Sodapops. The event, which has been named the UK's best vintage fair for the past three years, takes place between 10am and 4pm. Entry is £2 and under 12s are free. 

A 360-degree full dome planetarium will be based at the Science Zone in Boscombe's Royal Arcade on Saturday from 10am. Shows are 30 minutes long for The Nighttime Sky, which costs £3 per person excluding VAT and the Full Dome 360 degree film, which features underwater life and weather with solar storms and the carbon cycle, costing £2 per person. The last show will be at 4pm and the event is being held as part of planned events across the UK to mark British Science Week. The fourth Studland Stomp takes place on Sunday. Dog lovers are invited to take part in the five-mile sponsored walk with their four legged friends to raise money for The Margaret Green Animal Rescue. Meet at Knoll Beach car park at 12.45pm on Sunday. Call 01929 477074 for information.

Moors Valley Country Park will be taking part in national Disabled Access Day on Saturday. The full-day programme will cater for both adults and children and includes Tramper mobility scooters and wheelchair bikes. There will also be a sign language interpreter and maps and leaflets in Braille. Additional activities include a nature ‘touch table’, an evening performance of Up Beat by Forest Forge and the chance to join the parkrun at 9am. The park also launches its first Audio Trail on the day. To find out more visit moors-valley.co.uk or call 01425 470721.

A David Bowie tribute night takes place at Canvass, Poole Hill, tonight. Money from ticket sales will go towards Poole’s Lewis-Manning Hospice. Show tickets for the March 11 event are £8, with a £25 two-course dinner option available.

There will be Shakespeare-themed crafts, word fun and a treasure hunt at Oakdale Library on Saturday. The event will run from 10.30am to 11.30am at the library on Wimborne Road, which is suitable for children of all ages. It has been organised to mark Shakespeare Week, which runs from March 14 to 20, to mark the year of Shakespeare's 400th anniversary.

Dorset Family History Society hosts a Family History Day at Parkstone Grammar School on Saturday between 10am and 4pm. Admission and car parking in the school grounds is free. Guest speakers will be historian David Fletcher MBE who worked at Bovington Tank Museum for many years and will focus his talk on the role of the tank in WW1. Sarah Paterson will also talk about women's contribution to the war effort in WW1. Talks cost £1 on the day but numbers are limited. 

An Easter Craft Fair comes to Kinson Community Centre on Saturday. There will be stalls and refreshments with goody Bags for the first 40 customers in the queue. Runs from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and entry is £1 and free for Under 15s.

A one-of-a-kind concert comes to The Barrington Theatre on Sunday. Bad Company frontman Robert Hart will be giving a very special acoustic in aid of Dorset charity, Headway. He will be performing some of his greatest hits, as well as hits of those artists he’s worked with.  Support for the evening will also be a very special acoustic performance from local artists, Infinite Jest. Tickets cost £12.
