IT is hoped the second Rotary Dorset Bike Ride will raise £30,000 for Cancer Research UK, organisers say.
More than 500 cyclists took part in the charity event earlier this month, which consisted of varying routes, between 10 and 60 miles, beginning and ending at Bovington’s Tank Museum.
A Rotary Club spokesman said: “Cancer Research UK has made enormous progress in the fight against cancer and continues to do so. However, they only have been able to do this thanks to the dedication and commitment if their volunteers and supporters without whom they would not be able to fund their vital research.”
On the latest event the spokesman added: “The feedback from the riders was excellent and everybody thought the event was very well organised.
“There were plenty of marshals, refreshment stops, good signage and a great atmosphere.”
