The best student event of the year is set to sell out once again as early bird tickets were gone within an hour.

For the past 20 years SUBU have organised a fantastic Summer Ball for the 7000 students of Bournemouth University.

The Ball, on 6th June this year, involves students dressing up in any fancy dress costume they want and drinking until the early hours of the morning.Which sounds ideal for any student.

With the early bird tickets priced at £34 and the standard tickets priced at £37 I wondered whether students would find the event worthy of their money and why they are going.

Kirstin Rawlings a first year student from Bournemouth University said “Bournemouth’s Summer Ball is quite well known therefore I want to experience what it is like. Also the coverage of the Summer Ball has made it look impressive and I think it will be well worth the cost.”

With previous Balls featuring artists ranging from Netsky, Deaf Havana and Chase and Status it seems to be proving hopeful for the students that the event will prove very impressive and obviously worth their money.

With the site being accessible for over 10 hours there will be lots of different things the students can get involved with besides drinking. There will be food stalls, funfair rides, tents and obviously music.

Cam Bishop, another student in his first year at Bournemouth said he would like to see main and upcoming artists performing along with artists that have recently been hitting the charts. A main artist he wanted to see was Hannah Wants who has previously gigged in Bournemouth in the nightclub Halo.

As early bird tickets have already sold out standard ones are now available to purchase they are available to buy on the SUBU website, above Dylan’s bar at Bournemouth University or the SUBU shop itself.
