Bestival have announced their first line-up acts, including two of the highly anticipated headliners for Thursday and Sunday night, The Chemical Brothers and Underworld.

With both an eclectic and extensive list of acts announced, fans are sure to be pleased. The festival will hold 25 stages across 8 fields, fusing together iconic popstars such as Duran Duran with modern mixes from the likes of Annie MacGorgon City and Duke Dumont.

What’s even more exciting is a UK festival exclusive appearance from the world’s biggest musical family, The Jacksons. Surely with acts like this, and with so many more yet to be announced, the 12th annual Bestival has to be the best one yet?

"I didn’t think they could beat last years Desert Island Disco lineup, but they have and I can’t wait!"

Scarlett Robinson, 20, a Wildlife and Conservation student at BU said:

"Of all festivals, Bestival know how to intertwine the classic bands with the new and upcoming. It’s the best time to discover new music."

British electro band Underworld are kicking off the 4-day party headlining Thursday night as part of their Dubnobasswithmyheadman album tour.

The Chemical Brothers will be taking over the main stage on Saturday and with a brand new album coming out, the crowd should expect a mixture of new songs as well as the band’s signature club beats that’ll be reverberating throughout the night.

Students, don’t worry if you’re skint! You can purchase tickets through a weekly plan which lets you spread the cost of a Bestival ticket across 25 weeks for around £7 per week after an initial deposit- no excuses not to have fun this Summer. Tickets for Bestival are on sale now and you can purchase them through here.

Aside from the lineup, Bestival have also announced their involvement with Energy Revolution, a festival charity who crowd-source their donations and invest in clean energy to tackle climate change in an attempt to create a more sustainable future for the world. Linking this with their hippie vibe, upon booking car park, caravan or camper tickets there is an option for ticket buyers to spread the peace and love by donating £3 to Energy Revolution.
