Bournemouth RAG have again succeeded in raising huge amounts of cash, with over four thousand pounds going to help local charity Dorset Rape Crisis.

This weekend saw over forty competitors take part in Lost, and event which sees teams taken away from Bournemouth to an unknown location, before being tasking with getting back for free.

On Saturday the competitors had an early start, leaving Bournemouth early in the morning, before eventually being dropped off to begin their challenge in Gloucestershire.

A few hours later and the first time arrived back at the University, congratulations to ‘Hold On We’re Going Home’ which consisted of BU students Hannah Warren, Cara Louise Thomas and Eleanor Hindson.

Hamza Kigundu also took part in the event, and said it had helped improve his outlook on the general public.

“It surprised me how generous people were and how much they went out of their way to help us.”

Staff from the local Sanatander branch also took part and were pleased they had made the decision to get involved.

“All of this was done for such a great cause and the support of the British public was overwhelming.”

Bournemouth RAG’s total for the year now stands at over £35,000.
