THERE is just one month left to nominate those teachers, governors and support staff who make schools in the area special.
The second ever Daily Echo School Awards takes place in March - and aims to reward excellence in education from headteachers to lunchtime supervisors.
We have already received dozens of recommendations over the 11 categories - but there is still time to nominate those who make their local schools special.
This year's deadline for nominations has been extended to Friday, February 10, and afterwards a panel of judges will create a shortlist before choosing an overall winner.
Three people will be shortlisted in each category and they, along with a guest of their choice, will be invited to the awards event.
Your nomination could range from your child’s favourite teacher or lollipop lady to a hard-working governor or a brilliant PE teacher.
Alternatively it could be a colleague who constantly impresses you with their devotion to their job or someone who demonstrates a genuine interest in the pastoral care of the young people in their care.

The awards evening will take place at top Bournemouth independent school Talbot Heath School on Friday, March 17.
So far this year’s awards are being sponsored by Bournemouth and Poole College, Two Counties Cleaning Services Limited and Blue Sky Financial Planning but there are still opportunities for others to get involved as sponsors or partners.
The Daily Echo is also offering local companies and organisations the chance to get involved by sponsoring one of the categories. There is also the chance to be one of two main partners.
