A MAN charged with murder in connection with the death of a 25-year-old man in Bournemouth on New Year’s Day has appeared in court.

Vladislav Pomozov, 45, of Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth, appeared at Bournemouth Magistrates’ Court charged with murder and attempted murder.

The body of 25-year-old Andrejs Trofimovics was found at an address in Cleveland Road in Bournemouth on Friday, January 1.

A post mortem examination found that Mr Trofimovics, who lived in Bournemouth and was originally from Latvia, had died from a single stab wound.

At court today Pomozov used a Latvian translator to address the court and spoke only to confirm his name, age and address.

Pomozov is also charged with the attempted murder of a 46-year-old man also with the last name Trofimovics.

He did not enter a plea to either charge.

Pomozov was sent to Winchester Prison until his next court appearance which will take place on Wednesday, January 6 at Winchester Crown Court.
