A DONATION of £1,000 towards outdoor equipment has made playtime more fun at St James’ Primary School on Pokesdown Hill in Bournemouth.

The School Parliament were given the job of selecting various items of equipment they would like to have from an extensive range and these have now been installed and are ready for use.

“It has been part of an ongoing overall project to make the best possible use of the space we have available in our lower playground area” said Richard Warren, head teacher.

“With more than 400 children in the school the equipment will have plenty of use but rest assured a fair and equitable rota is already in place.”

The donation was made by JP Morgan and Earl Gooden a member of its Community Relations Committee, joined pupils on the equipment.

He said: “Clearly playtime is going to be a lot of fun and we have been delighted to be able to help in this way.” Mr Warren added: “JP Morgan has a positive impact on the community and it is not just the financial help that we appreciate but the support that has been shown to the school over a long period of time.”
