THE all-weather lifeboat had to be called out after a passing cargo ship reported a small grey dinghy adrift 15 nautical miles south east of Swanage. Volunteers were called out after the ship was unable to stop and recover it. A search was carried out to check if anyone was missing from it before the UK Coastguard stated that a fishing vessel had recovered the dingy. The lifeboat came alongside the fishing boat and recovered it, however the owner of the dinghy is still yet to be found and is urged to contact the Coastguard. The initial lifeboat launch took place at 8.55am on Saturday morning.
