The Coastguard are looking for the owner of a dinghy recovered by a fisherman.
The dinghy, pictured above, was found floating approximately two miles off Swanage on Sunday morning by a local fisherman who towed it back to shore.
But despite efforts to find the owner of the boat, nobody has yet come forward to claim it.
A spokesperson for Swanage Coastguard said: “Our investigations suggest that it has either slipped a mooring, been washed off a beach or has become separated whilst being towed as a tender.”
The dinghy was found with some damage done to it and there was an outboard motor attached to it which has been removed by Swanage Coastguard for safe keeping.
Swanage Coastguard are asking anyone who thinks the dinghy might be theirs, or anyone who knows how it came to be floating on its own early on Sunday morning, to get in contact with them.
You can call the Coastguard Operations Centre on 01305 760439.
