A MAN has come forward after police issued a CCTV appeal following the reported theft of a mobile phone from a shop in Swanage.
At around 1.10pm on Monday, May 7, a woman was buying some items at the till of WHSmith on Station Road when she placed her black Samsung Galaxy J3 6 mobile phone on top of the chewing gum counter.
She then left the store, forgetting to collect her phone.
The victim, a local woman aged in her 40s, soon realised she had left her phone and returned to the shop but the phone had gone.
Police said a 56-year-old man from Poole has since come forward to assist them with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.
The mobile phone has been recovered.
