CATS, dogs and a Shetland pony are in need of forever homes in Dorset.

Margaret Green Animal Rescue is trying to find new homes for the rescue animals in its care.

Bee the cat is 11 years old and very affectionate. She loves cuddles and is fine to live with a dog but not another cat. She is looking for a quiet home but doesn't mind older children.

Hershey the cat, who is around two years old is described as nervous and wary but also inquisitive.

Rescue staff say she should be fine to live with another cat, but not a dog or children as fast movements really worry her.

Black cat Milly is four years old and is very friendly and affectionate once she settles. She would need to be the only pet in the home, but could live with older children.

And Minnie, a six year old cat, really enjoys affections and sitting on laps, say staff at the rescue centre.

She would need to be the only pet but would be fine to live with older children who are cat friendly.

Harry the 10-year-old Shetland pony has only just arrived at the centre.

Described as "inquisitive and friendly", Harry is progressing well through my handling and veterinary assessment and will be available very soon for rehoming.

Three-month-old Lurcher puppy Leonard loves cuddles and treats and could live with another dog, cats and teenagers.

Ollie the cat is five years old and looking to be re-homed with his sister, Mia, or on his own.

They are both a bit nervous when they first meet someone but soon become friendlier, especially if they are given food!

Wendy is a two-year-old cat looking for a forever home as she has been living as a stray. She needs a quiet home where she is the only pet. Rescue staff describe her as a “sweet girl” who “might be a little hissy” on a first meeting.

Keira, four, loves to have a fuss but on her terms. She likes being stroked around her head but not by her tail. She loves to bring her humans ‘presents’, according to Margaret Green.

One-year-old rabbit Daisy is looking for a forever home with her two companions, Coco and Molly.

They are very active rabbits and they like to be up quite high. They are “into everything” and really enjoy exploring.

Two dogs in need of forever homes are Angelica and Mojo.

Angelica, a one-year-old cross breed, is described as “enthusiastic” and looking for a family who love the outdoors as much as she does. She enjoys cuddles, chasing tennis balls and getting her toes wet.

She could possibly live with another dog.

Mojo is a three-year-old ex-racing greyhound. Staff say he is a “happy-go-lucky chap” who enjoys the company of other people, as well as running around with his fellow sighthounds.

He can live with other sighthounds and older children.
