A MAN arrested in connection with a reported assault in Wareham has been released without charge.

At 8.23pm on Monday, September 18, officers were called to reports of a disturbance at an address in Brixey’s Lane.

A 41-year-old sustained stab wounds to his legs and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been released from hospital.

A 27-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and has now been released without charge.

No further arrests have been made at this stage and enquiries are continuing.
