I WOKE up Saturday morning in what felt like an oven. The sun was shining and the campsite looked like a different place - a happy place.

We took advantage of the sun and went for a stroll. Once again we found ourselves heading for the Feast Collective. This place has been a Bestival highlight of mine. So much good grub.

Bellies full, it was time for a quick lie down. Walking in wellies and safely navigating the mud was beginning to take its toll plus it was looking pretty grey out there.

The moment we stepped into the tent the heavens opened. It poured. There's something quite comforting about being in a tent when it's raining, the rain against the canopy is almost therapeutic.

A brief let up in the rain meant it was all go, go, go. We donned our wellies and emergency ponchos and headed to the arena. It wasn't long until the rain returned, though, and boy did it come back with a vengeance. Luckily for us we were right next to The Box Stage.

To my surprise The Smiths Ltd were playing. It's sometimes tough being a tribute but they rocked the stage to a packed crowd and I came away feeling as if I'd watched the real thing.

Later that night Dizzee Rascal put on an epic performance. 'Holiday' and 'Bonkers' were personal favourites. It was hit after hit and the crowd loved it.

Back at the Box Stage Twin Atlantic took to the stage. The Scottish rock band certainly don't do things by halves and, having seen them last year at the Isle of Wight festival, I knew we were in for a treat. They did not disappoint.
