SEVEN fire appliances dealt with a blaze at Creech Heath near Wareham on Sunday morning.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue received a call from a member of the public at 10.15am.
Four fire engines, two land Rovers and a water carrier were called to the scene.
Crews from Wareham, Swanage, Poole and Hamworthy attended.
Around one hectare of the heath was said to be well alight.
The fire was extinguished using two main lines, four hose reels and one monitor from the Unimog vehicle.
