A LIFEBOAT was launched in response to concerns for a man seen near the edge of a cliff.
The Swanage lifeboat was called at 10:26am on Monday to reports of a man seen climbing down the cliffs near Tilly Whim caves and not being seen again.
Volunteers from Swanage Coastguard who also been alerted located and verified the person thought to be missing in a matter of minutes.
The coastguard and lifeboat service also dealt with a second incident after three people were reported walking along the bottom of the cliffs near the Durlston Head and then could not be seen.
They investigated and found that the three people had turned around and made their way back up the cliffs of their own accord.
They were reported as being seen safe in Durlston Country Park.
