CAR parking machines along Swanage seafront need to be fixed after being broken into by thieves.
Cash was stolen from several ticket machines in Shore Road. Signs have been taped onto them informing motorists the machines are ‘out of order due to criminal damage and theft’.
A spokesperson for Dorset County Council said the incident was reported to police.
“Four machines were broken into just after midnight on June 18. We are checking with the town council about CCTV.
“The machines are still out of order. It was a professional job by thieves. We can’t say how much was taken.”
A Dorset Police spokesperson said they were investigating the incident.
“It was reported the ticket machines were drilled into and the cash boxes stolen,” they added.
