THREE climbers had to be rescued yesterday evening after becoming stuck.
Coastguards from Kimmeridge were called just before 8.30pm.
A spokesman for Kimmeridge coastguard said they were called to back up their colleagues at Lulworth.
They said: "On our arrival Coastguard helicopter 106 was already on scene winching three persons stuck up a rock face at Stair Hole, Lulworth.
"Due to the location of the incident a cliff team rescue was impossible.
"Our job was to secure the area from the many onlookers and assist the Lulworth team.
"Thankfully all safe and well though obviously shaken."
