FIRING will be taking place at the Lulworth Ranges for five days from today.

The training will happen between 9.30am and 5pm each day.

Night firing sessions are also taking place between 6pm and 11.59pm tomorow and Thursday.

The Lulworth Ranges are part of the AFV (Armoured Fighting Vehicles) Gunnery School, a major training establishment of the British Army.

They include the coast from just west of Kimmeridge Bay to just east of Lulworth Cove, as well as the village of Tyneham and Worbarrow Bay.

The sea danger area extends up to six nautical miles offshore between Lulworth Cove and St. Aldhelm's (St Alban's) Head.

Vessels are asked to keep out of the area at firing times.
