HISTORIC Corfe Castle looks more like King Arthur’s Camelot in this atmospheric shot by David R Thompson.
He captured the Purbeck landmark in this spectacular shot on Monday morning he has called ‘Autumnal Sunrise at Corfe Castle’.
It was David’s fifth attempt to photograph the castle in the right conditions and has meant a few early starts.
He said: “After a chilly start it was ideal conditions to capture the magical, swirling mist combined with a colourful sunrise that occurs at this time of year.
“I particularly love the way the mist picks up the golden glow.
“For me this was quite an emotional image as it is a place dear to my heart and it was my fifth attempt to try and capture the atmosphere of this historical site.”
