POLICE are investigating alleged assaults in Swanage following a 'punch-up' involving a group of between 10 and 15 people.
A 23-year-old man received serious injuries to his face, and a 20-year-old woman from Wareham also sustained facial injuries following an altercation outside Subway in Station Road.
It happened sometime between 3am and 4am on Sunday, July 3.
Five men have been arrested on suspicion of affray and have been released on police bail pending further enquiries until the middle of August and September.
They are an 18-year-old from Winfrith, a 21-year-old from Swanage and three men aged 20, 21 and 23 who are all from Romania and living in Swanage.
Detective Inspector Andrea Power, from Weymouth CID, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened in Station Road in the early hours of Sunday and have not yet spoken to officers to please contact Dorset Police.”
