FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a heath blaze at Bovington.
A brigade spokesman said six crews had been sent to the scene.
Crews in attendance are from Wareham, Hamworthy, Bere Regis, Poole, Swanage and Blandford stations.
It is believed to be at Turners Puddle Heath. The cause is not known.
The District Commander for the area praised crews for their efforts in preventing the fire from spreading.
In a Tweet he said: "Hard graft by crews to stop a wind driven fire from escalating. Well done."
