THE FAMILY of popular youngster Joss Venning who died suddenly just before Christmas have thanked the Corfe community for their overwhelming support following his tragic death. As reported in the Daily Echo, 21-year-old Joss, who suffered from epilepsy, pictured, passed away in his sleep on December 23.

His father’s partner Wendy Mills said the family has been overwhelmed by the support they have received from the people of Corfe Castle, the village in which Joss was born and lived throughout his life.

Speaking on behalf of her and her partner Graham, as well as Joss’s mother and stepfather, Helen and Steve Thomas, Wendy said: “We really would like to say thank you to everybody in Corfe that has supported us. Everybody has been coming out of the woodwork and shown their support. We’ve received so many cards with beautiful messages.”

Hundreds of people attended Joss’s funeral and raised more than £750 for the charity Epilepsy Action.
