SWANAGE Inshore Lifeboat was deployed after two kayakers called for help off Old Harry Rocks yesterday.
A member of the public on top of the cliff dialled 999 at 4.50pm to report that two men were shouting for help.
Portland Coastguard initiated a mayday broadcast and the men were rescued from the water by a passing vessel.
The kayakers were taken by the lifeboat to Knoll beach, Studland, where coastguard rescue officers checked their condition.
The men did not require any medical attention.
