DORSET residents will be able to enjoy discounts at many of the county’s top attractions next week.

The Visit Dorset Residents’ Week, which runs between April 23 and 29, aims to showcase the experiences on offer across the county.

More than 50 local businesses are participating in the promotion, including The Blue Pool in Wareham, Lulworth Castle, Farmer Palmers Farm Park, Swanage Railway and Moors Valley Country Park and Forest.

A full list of participating attractions and offers can be found on the Visit Dorset website and were also published in Dorset County Council’s community newspaper ‘Your Dorset’.

David Rawsthorn at Swanage Railway said: “Swanage Railway is delighted to participate in the Visit Dorset Residents’ Week again this year. Word-of-mouth recommendations from the local community play an invaluable role in encouraging visitors throughout the year.

Nick Thornley, on behalf of the Visit Dorset Tourism Partnership, said: “Our popular Residents’ Week event provides an unmissable opportunity for local residents to visit some of Dorset’s top visitor attractions. We are extremely fortunate to live in such a beautiful county and I would encourage residents to come out and enjoy the best of what Dorset has to offer and to tell friends and family when they visit throughout the year”.
