A MAN was assaulted in the street during a "particularly nasty" attack this month.
Officers are calling for anyone with information about the incident, which happened at 6pm on Sunday, March 11, to come forward.
The victim, a 30-year-old Wimborne man, was walking in Wimborne Road, Poole near Pets Corner when a silver van with an orange light on top pulled up alongside him.
He was then hit in the face with an unknown object. After falling to the ground, he was kicked in the head and lost consciousness.
As a result of the attack, he suffered a broken nose and two black eyes.
PC Hannah Loveridge, of Poole police, said: "This was a particularly nasty, unprovoked attack and I have been making a number of enquiries in order to identify those involved."
Anyone who witnessed the attack, or those with any information about the individuals involved, should contact Dorset Police via dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting 55180036984.
