LOVE is in the air at a Poole charity shop as a pop-up bridal boutique has opened - with heavily discounted dresses.

The Cheshire Box charity shop on Ashley Road was recently donated around 50 wedding dresses, 50 bridesmaid dresses, shoes and accessories from a Poole bridal shop which was closing down.

Rosemary McDonald, joint manager of the charity shop said: "It was such a generous offer. The owner said she would give them to us, but only if all the proceeds were guaranteed to go to The Grange, which is a Leonard Cheshire Disability centre."

And all the stock is being sold at 70 per cent off the retail price, with a wide variety of styles for brides to choose from.

Rosemary added: "We've had lots of people looking and trying dresses on, but wanting some time to think.

"They've all seemed pleased with the choices though.

"This will run until Saturday February 24. We're not booked up yet, but would advise people to get an appointment."

Karen Ralph, Manager at The Cheshire Box, said: “We are all so excited to be able to offer this fantastic opportunity for brides-to-be to buy a beautiful gown at a vastly reduced price.

"We’re very thankful that the donor chose The Cheshire Box and Leonard Cheshire Disability to benefit, ensuring that the local people we support can continue their journeys towards independence."

Brides-to-be are advised to call the shop and arrange an appointment to ensure they can get the space and time needed to choose their perfect gown.
